Last Saturday, May 9th, over 300 people participated in Wheatland Salem’s “Serve The Community Day”. Through various acts of service, our congregation made an impact in the lives of others. In response to the Everydayservice campaign and “Serve the Community Day”, Ben Thomas (in collaboration with Bill and Renee Plaza) wrote and recorded a song called “Changed”. Last Sunday, we encouraged members of our congregation to get their photo taken in front of the Every banner. These photos represent people who, because of Jesus, make a long-term impact. Because we are living a more purposeful and meaningful life, our life has impact here on earth. Ultimately the goal is that we meet and know Jesus for eternity. But, the immediate benefit may be that our life is enriched, connecting us closer to a life with Jesus. Enjoy viewing our photo gallery.

This Sunday we offered a printed journal featuring daily devotionals written by members and friends of Wheatland Salem. You can also download a copy of the journal here. We encourage you to take the next 30 days and commit to the daily reading of this journal. Then, take a minute, as your are called, to post entries from your journal and to dialogue with others here on the Every decision page.
Last Sunday we were all prompted to jot down a note of how we’ve experienced others serving and sacrificing around us… check out the result. Zoom in, look around, and try to find yours! On May 9th, we’re taking a day to serve together. This will be a church-wide (and family-wide) day of service. If you have any ideas about how or where we can serve the community, we’d love to hear them.
